Some Lucky Magic

On February 18, 2018, Lido Magic delivered a 132-pound baby girl. We called her Some Lucky Magic. We often watched baby and mother in the indoor arena. We couldn’t stop smiling when Some Lucky Magic carried her tail aloft. Her long, skinny legs looked wobbly and awkward until she took off running, and then they morphed into high-speed instruments of grace.

As a two-year-old Some Lucky Magic raced on the big oval. Long in legs but short on speed, Some Lucky Magic raced in our barn from June 2020 to July 2021. Some Lucky Magic moved on to new owners in the mid-July. She landed in Ottawa for a short while before moving to new owners in the States. From July 2021 to March 2022, Some Lucky Magic was trained by 5 new owners in and around New York and New Jersey. We followed her career, which included 25 racing starts with 3 wins and nearly 16K in lifetime earnings. We suspect that Some Lucky Magic started her second career as a broodmare. We constantly check the harness racing websites for word of her first foal. Stay tuned.
